Please note that all job offers will be conditional upon completing a Criminal Record Search.

Pickering Public Library is a unionized environment.

While the Library thanks you in advance for your interest, only those candidates being considered will be contacted.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive on a regular basis, the HR department is unable to answer applicant-specific questions by phone or email. Refer to the job posting for the information you require. Once a job opportunity has expired or is no longer posted, we typically contact a few selected qualified applicants for interviews via email within 2-3 weeks. If you applied for a job and have not been contacted by email after three weeks, you can assume that you were not selected for an interview. You can still apply again in the future and applicants are welcome to send separate emails for more than one posted job opportunity listing the job ID reference # in the subject line of the email.

All applicants are encouraged to review the Hiring Policy prior to applying and to contact the HR department with any questions regarding this policy.

Pickering Public Library is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We therefore encourage and welcome applications from our diverse population including qualified aboriginal Canadians, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, and women.
