The library is my second home

The Library is my second home. You will find me there at all sorts of times. I have been the only person other than staff during inclement weather.
In 1993, Mrs Kathy Williams (now Director, Public Services) helped me start the Pickering Reading Circle and it is still running under the leadership of Ms. Mala Mahabir. We help school aged children do better in math, English and French.
I have been a member of the library since 1968, and the fact that there was a storefront library at the IGA Plaza was the reason we could move to Westshore Pickering then. We have stayed here ever since. See you at the library.
