A Chromebook is a personal computer running Chrome OS as its operating system. These laptops are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and data residing "in the Google cloud", though there are a variety of apps that can be run offline. They are perfect for people who want to connect to the internet, work with Google Docs or use the multitude of available apps.
The Library Chromebooks can be used anywhere in the Library and may not be removed from the building. They are available at the Central Library and Petticoat Creek Branch for 4 hour loan periods within the Library. (4 hours per day, per card holder.)
please ensure to return borrowed Chromebooks by the time shown on your checkout slip to avoid fees. A fee of $1 per hour or part thereof, is charged for late returns.
