Pickering Public Library will provide basic client service and technology support using ZOOM Video Conferencing technology. This will assist our clients in resolving service and technology issues with face-to-face, live client service from a Client Experience Associate who specializes in library services and technology support. Appointments will be scheduled and sent to any client who requests it, via the email they provided in their message to [email protected]. This will provide individuals with support in real-time and in some cases, will be more conducive to resolving technical support requests and client service questions.

This service will be available Mon-Fri, 9 am-5 pm and will be on an appointment-only basis. We will strive to fulfill all appointment requests within the same business day but some appointments may require a longer wait time.

To access this service, clients will need a working smartphone, tablet, laptop or home computer with a stable internet connection. Clients will also require a microphone and camera which most devices have by default. Once an appointment is set, basic instructions for Zoom setup and appointment confirmation will be made by a Client Experience Associate.

  • Account access issues i.e. password resets, technical support
  • Digital library access issues and technical support
  • Digital services access issues and technical support
  • General technology support for client devices i.e. Smartphone, Laptop, Tablet, PC or Mac
  • General application support i.e. software use support, smartphone and tablet apps, etc.
  • Online research assistance and reading suggestions
